Posting this for anyone looking for DJ for wedding or otherwise.. trying to help.. people not get scammed...
I wouldn't wish DJ Wolf's services on anyone! We hired him to DJ a wedding this past weekend. We had this booked over 6 months in advance...he was paid in full over the winter because he claimed he was sick and needed the money. I complied, then comes months of no contact, he did not setup the meeting 1 week out that was outlined in the contract, then just 3 days before my wedding..3 days.. he tried pulling that this was a "rush" wedding and it would now cost us $400 more for him to show up! He also kept sending me screenshots of a contract clause that was not in my signed contract. Thank god I had all my copies as well as screenshots of all communication. All of this stress and panic days before my big day! He was arrogant, unprofessional and ignorant. We didn't even know if anyone would be showing up, talk about stress. He ended up sending another DJ...this DJ..and I use that term loosely showed up over an hour late wearing a sleeveless t shirt to our fancy reception. Wedding party had to stay out and miss the first 45 minutes of the reception all so we could be announced. While announcing it was painfully apparent he could not pronounce names well...he mispronounced our last name as well as others in the party. The microphone kept going out and he did not have a backup. My son had to cup his hands and announce us!l as we were left standing at the entrance! He did not follow the timeline at all. It wasn't until half of our guests had left that he got the ball rolling and had the special dances and toast, however by that time my mother in law was extremely tired and could not do the groom/mother dance as planned. He had no rhythm to the songs he played. He played an hour of slow then an hour of fast. He did not do any traditional wedding dance songs like the chicken dance etc.... I came to find out after the fact that days before my wedding he was advertising on facebook that he was overbooked for DJs and was subbing gigs out...diving a little further back on his profile I see that this is a pattern. He books for one price and pays someone to stand in for a couple hundred dollars. I am extremely disappointed not only that I chose DJ Wolf, but in his stand in he sent. I sincerely do not want any other bride to go through the stress and dissatisfaction I have. I do have screenshots of all conversations for reference if anyone would like to see. guest wears for winter wedding
