Hello brides! I just wanted to tell everyone what vendors I used, and review them, because I had a very affordable but beautiful wedding that I was very happy with. Please feel free to message me if you want any other tips or have questions for me.
Reception Venue/Catering - East End Bolder's Club.
you cater through them (for the cheapest I've found per plate) the food was great. Kegs through them. Can get linens through them (cheapest I found as well) They have a bar in a separate area as well. Nancy was great to work with. Super affordable place and loved the white Christmas light decor. My dj fancied it up more with back-lighting.
Photography - Stephanie Michelle Photography
gave me a great package with usb of images, online gallery, engagement session etc. Beautiful work!
Bridal Salon for bride's dress - Got my wedding dress at Storybook Ending Bridal and Prom
They have very beautiful gowns and way better service than David's Bridal!! They made me feel like a princess with a consultant that is dedicated to me, not hopping between clients. They also definitely know what they're doing. Can do alterations there through Patti - she was also amazing! Got my veil and a fur shawl there also.
Bridal Salon for flower girl dress/ bridesmaids - David's Bridal on Elmore. This was the most logical option. If there would have been a more convenient, popular place other than David's, I would have chosen it. The dresses all looked great. Not impressed with the knowledge of the consultants. Not impressed with how you have to have your alterations done by David's in order for them to steam the dresses. Alterations are expensive through them. We did have a problem with a dress not coming in looking like the one the girl tried on. There was a slit in the leg (supposed to be) but when it came in it was way higher up in crotch area. Was impressed with David's always being flexible to make it right with our problems. We needed to switch colors for two dresses and they did it with no problems. They also did let the one girl get a different dress who had the slit too high. Dress Affordable wedding wears tips with affordable price
DJ - J & E Entertainment 563-370-4481 Jen & Edwin were amazing! Cheapest DJ package I found with uplighting, "dancing on the clouds" (see in my profile pic), mc/dj services the whole night, etc. Great quality work. They were great with communication and wanting meetings to ensure your day goes smoothly.
Florist - Faith at Milan Flower QC did beautiful work <3
Hotel Room Block - Radisson on John Deere Commons-Moline The other one I had I don't recommend but I didn't want to call them out.
Hair - Refuge Nicole Jean Hawkins Beautiful work at my ceremony location for all girls and moms.
Makeup - Cate & Company Amazing work also at my ceremony location for all girls and moms.
Videographer - Rehash Media, LLC
It was great to see a video of our ceremony and reception and also to see the interviews that famly and friends said about us.
Wedding Bands - Zales - South Park Mall
Wedding party gifts - A Touch of Wedding
affordable gifts that my party loved. We got beer mugs with the name and title for the men and tumblers for the girls.
Personalizationmall.com
- got personalized coloring books for ring bearer and flower girl that say their name on front and say the name of bride and groom. They say "ring security" or "flower girl" and the coloring book tells a story about what their job is. Kept the kids busy at the rehearsal dinner too.
Reharsal dinner - Los Portales on E Kimberly Rd, Davenport
had a taco bar and we added rice and beans. Delicious and fun with the mariachi band.
Travel agent/resort - Gulliver's Travel South Park We went to Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Definitely recommend the resort as well as going all-inclusive for your honeymoon as you don't have to worry about anything. Also Jamaica is amazing! You have to go to Dunn's River Falls and climb a waterfall (included at this resort too)
Menswear - Ducky's Formal Wear
They had a great deal when you have 6 rented tuxes you get the groom's tux free as well as free invitations.
Transportation - BarHoppers Party Bus
We didn't use this bus for wedding-related stuff but used it for a 21st bday and highly recommend. If it would have been in our budget, would have done this for my bachelorette and for wedding day transportation for wedding party.
Act II Transportation was used for bride and groom transport to reception. Can't tell you what they were like price-wise was it was a surprise/gift to us (thanks again!) But they were super professional and great.
Invitations - Ducky's Formal Wear.
See above. You have to be careful what is actually free with the invitations but if you keep asking questions you will get them mostly free. I think we paid $30 for a deposit. We were impressed with the look of them too!!
Thank you cards - walmart.com Impressed with the quality of pics.
Rose petals - petalgarden.com Cheap and good quality. Variety of colors.
Save the dates - weddingpaperdivas.com Pretty good price and loved the quality.
Wedding favors - orientaltrading.com We got cookie cutter favors here as well as hand clappers for ceremony exit.
Registry - we registered at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond
Did DIY photobooth. Had the ceremony at MGT New Hope Church, which we attend. Did DIY RSVP postcards on Microsoft Publisher and printed them on cardstock. Grandma did cake. Got other decor from amazon and hobby lobby. Also bought a lot from swap! Again feel free to message me if you want any other tips or have questions. Love to help.
